Pathfinder Award Graphic

Caldwell ISD is proud to announce that our Safety Team was recognized at the 2024 TASBO School Operations Conference in Allen as a recipient of the prestigious Pathfinder Award. This award highlights innovative practices, responses to unprecedented situations, and meaningful connections to students and staff.

The Caldwell ISD Safety Team earned this honor for their innovative reunification plan, which was developed in collaboration with safety committees and law enforcement. Taking a proactive approach, the team hosted tours of the reunification site for staff and community members, providing a hands-on opportunity to experience the process. This engagement led to valuable feedback and ensured a well-rounded, effective plan for keeping students safe in emergencies.

“Our Safety Team’s dedication to creating a safer learning environment exemplifies the values we hold at Caldwell ISD,” said Heather Escalante, Chief Operations Officer. “Their collaborative and thoughtful approach reflects our commitment to student safety and community involvement.”

We extend our gratitude to TASBO and E3, the award’s sponsor, for recognizing the hard work and dedication of our team. Congratulations to Tammie Novosad, Heather Escalante, and Nathan Goodlett for their leadership and service!

Together, we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
