For out-of-state applicants, you may contact Angie Zamora at 979-567-2400 or email Angie Zamora if you need assistance with the necessary paperwork to apply for a Texas teaching certificate. In order to be eligible for a Texas teaching certificate you must have been issued a standard out-of-state certificate. The certificate must be equivalent to a certificate issued by the State Board of Educator Certification and must not have been revoked, suspended, or pending such action.
It may be necessary to apply for an Initial One-Year Certificate while your credentials are being reviewed through the State Board of Educator Certification. Contact Angie Zamora at 979-567-2400 or email Angie Zamora if you need assistance with applying for an Initial One-Year Certificate.
